This is absolutely stunning and is going to be our little treat to ourselves this month. The Turquoise Python Petite Make-up Planner from cosmetics queen Trish McEvoy costs €102 but it does represent good value for money. You get the case, one of her customisable make up 'pages' with eyeshadows, eye definers, pick-me-up face colour, eye base and lip gloss. It will glamour-up your weekends away but it will more than likely start a Trish McEvoy addiction because the products are that good. Available from Brown Thomas and Harvey Nichols.
Buying clothes for little boys is not always an easy task – not unless you're in the market for jumpers covered in dinosaurs or t-shirts that say things like 'Daddy's Little Co-Pilot'. This shirt, new from French Connection Kids is very cool and will look super smart layered with a cardi, or as it is with jeans or shorts making
him the best dressed boy this Easter. €33, www.french connection.com
We're suckers for lovely scented candles but we have a particular affinity for the Max Benjamin range. Enniskerry-based and run by two brothers Mark and David Van den Bergh, the brand is rather cutely named after their twin nephews, Max and Ben. All slick packaging and beautifully designed, the candles are also pleasingly green, being made from natural soy wax instead of paraffin with a lead-free Italian cotton wick. And when many brands have decided that €40 plus is an acceptable price to pay for their scented candles, these are only €18. They've just launched their 15th scent, Mimosa and Sweet Amber which is sophisticated and soothing. Available from Brown Thomas, House of Fraser, Kilkenny and Arnotts.
Alice Hanratty and Siobhan Hyde are the two printmakers behind 10:10, a new exhibition taking place at the Graphic Studio Gallery (through the arch, off Cope Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2), opening this Thursday and running until 24 April. Hanratty's images are figures based on classical antiquity, like the Greek artists of the 4th and 5th century while Hyde's still lifes are beautifully fresh and compelling screen prints of common fruit and flowers. Go see it. www.graphicstudiodublin.com. Tel: 01 6798021

It's not only the fact that this range is fantastically pretty, but the clothes are also made from sustainable materials like organic cotton and recycled polyester. You'll look gorgeous, and feel smug. Dress, €14.95
* We're stocking up on... Juicy Couture
The US label has just come to Kildare Village (www.kildarevillage.com ) and it's offering a further 25% off the outlet prices. We don't do their tracksuits but we do like just about everything else, especially the knitwear.
* We're not sure about... High-heeled trainers
What Lady Gaga might wear if she went for a run in the park. We know they're on trend, but they're quite silly really. These are €40 from Schuh.
* We're lusting after... Kate and Ava
