I refer to your article (Editorial, 28 September) where you said "Enda Kenny chose to bore the nation" during leader's question time. You never mentioned that Brian Cowen was unable to answer the question Kenny put to him when he asked Cowen to list three actions he had taken since assuming office to alleviate the current recession.
You must not have listened to Terry Prone on Drivetime last Friday when she brought this up and used it as an instance where our media do not report on the substance of Dáil debates or politicians' statements but concentrate instead on whether or not the person was exciting, amusing or otherwise.
It seems you and other media persons want our politicians to be amusing celebrities instead of people who address our problems. In other words you concentrate on the shadow not the substance. We could be better served by our media.
