The UK Conservative party claimed at the weekend that the health service there has overpaid the HSE up to €750m over the past five years, providing healthcare for British pensioners living in Ireland.


Under a reciprocal arrangement the NHS in the UK received £2,606 per pensioner while the HSE received £7,457 per pensioner treated.
