In Fushun, in the Liaoning province of China, a cat and dog are taking childcare to a whole new level. The pets, adopted by Gao Shunhong, are extremely cooperative and friendly, to the point of taking it in turns to mind each other's offspring. The cat and dog had a litter of kittens and puppies within days of each other and now take turn to babysit when one of the animals is tired, or outside of the box that they share together as a bed. "It's really odd – but a great picture of harmony," their owner said.
