Chinese robot inventor proves he's no Wall-e
A Chinese farmer is looking to achieve further fame with homemade robots he has been building since 1986. Wu Yulu, who lives on the outskirts of Beijing, has made robots that can walk, light cigarettes, pour a cup of tea and give massages. He is currently preparing for the Shanghai World Expo. However, robot making is not without its troubles. His wife threatened to divorce him after he spent all their money financing his robot obsession, and he also burned their house down during one particularly arduous robot-building experiment.
Dutch burglars break into prison to steal TV
Police in Holland are tackling the unusual crime of burglars breaking into a prison to steal inmates' televisions. The prison, 50 miles north of Amsterdam, is for those at the end of their sentences, and is obviously less secure than other jails.
