GARDAÍ have opened a murder inquiry after a 24-year-old man was stabbed to death following a row in an apartment complex.


The man was understood to have been visiting a friend in Donaghmede in Dublin at around 1.30am when he and another man complained about noise coming from a separate apartment. The victim was stabbed once in the heart and died at the scene. Gardaí said that the victim had been a former member of the Defence Forces.
