Patrick Freyne criticises Baz Ashmawy for using prison-rape as "an eccentric yankee quirk to be chuckled at? Jesus". Fair point Patrick, but we can get your point without casual reference to the founder of the religion which most people in this country still hold most dear to them. You would not, I'm sure, dream of being so casual with the sacred names of other faiths. Maybe if those most skilled in the use of language – our journalists, scriptwriters etc – set an example, we could begin to see an end to this practice.
