A man was charged yesterday before a special court sitting in Limerick in connection with the shooting of another man in the city last Monday night.


Daniel Phillips was shot in the head as he sat in a parked car and remains in a critical condition in hospital.


Shane Mason (28) was charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life.
