TWO men were killed in separate road accidents early yesterday morning. At about 8.30am a man in his 20s lost his life in a two-car collision on the N21 at Barnagh in Newcastle, Co Limerick.
The driver of the second car was injured in the collision, although not seriously. The road was closed and diversions were put in place until yesterday afternoon.
In Co Kildare, a 40-year-old man was killed in another two-car collision on the Carbury to Edenderry road at around 6.45am.
The deceased was the driver of one of the vehicles while two people in the other car were taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
