What a High Court we have in this country to allow Ireland's most dangerous thug, Leroy Dumbrell, win his case against solitary confinement.
God help the citizens of this country when Justice John Hedigan states it is not acceptable to keep this fellow in solitary confinement. Neither is it acceptable to have prison officers under constant threat from this fellow. It is about time the death penalty was introduced by the EU for murder, kidnapping, drug dealing, human trafficking, etc.

Well.....unfortunately that's not going to happen.
But surely mandatory sentences could be brought in.
A three strike rule for prison misbehaviour.
Maybe make judges accountable for their "judging", like doctors, politicians, etc., and have them impeached by parliament in certain circumstances. They are a wealthy elite who people hate.
Of course, these things would rob the judges of their power over people so they'd be against it.
That said, this newspaper always tries to make them accountable. Long may it continue.
