Campaigners in Sligo demanding the retention of cancer services at Sligo General Hospital vowed to continue their actions yesterday in the aftermath of a protest on Friday night.
They are opposed to plans to transfer the services to University Hospital Galway but the authorities say they are to press ahead with the move. On Friday night some 3,000 people took part in a protest march and rally in Sligo.
