THREE passengers and a driver received minor injuries yesterday morning when a Dublin bus struck a wall in Lucan village.

A spokeswoman for Dublin Bus explained that all four injured parties were taken to hospital following the accident but their injuries were not thought to be serious. The driver attended the James Connolly Memorial Hospital.

The incident is understood to have taken place just after 10am when the bus struck a wall at St Mary's Church in Lucan village. The exact cause of the accident remained unclear yesterday evening.

There were around 50 passengers on board the 67A bus when the collision occurred on its regular route, travelling from Cellbridge into Dublin city centre.

"Dublin Bus has an investigation team at the scene and we are fully co-operating with the gardaí in their investigation," the spokeswoman said.
