An Irish journalist and film-maker has called on film festivals to screen his documentary attacking environmentalists for their views on climate change. Phelim McAleer said he has yet to receive an invitation to show Not Evil, Just Wrong, which purports to examine the "hype" around global warming.

"I'm waiting for an invitation from an Irish film festival," said McAleer. "Documentaries asking hard questions of the environmental establishment generally get rejected."

Earlier this month, McAleer was involved in an angry exchange with former US vice president Al Gore at an environmental journalists' conference in the US.
