Irish rugby captain Brian O'Driscoll and actress Amy Huberman will hold their wedding reception in Lough Rynn Castle near Mohill, Co Leitrim, next summer.
The Sunday Tribune has learned that the five-star castle hotel, the ancestral home of the Clements family, is to be the setting of one of Ireland's biggest weddings in years, believed to be planned for next June.
Insiders say that O'Driscoll and Huberman only booked the venue during the last few days after a recent visit.
The luxury lakeside hotel's features include a grand ballroom and a banqueting hall that can seat over 300 guests.
When contacted this weekend, a spokesman for Lough Rynn Castle refused to comment on the couple's plans.
"We have a policy of not commenting to a third party on any bookings made by guests," said a spokesman.
The nearby St Patrick's Church, Mohill, a short distance away, is expected to be the setting for the couple's church service.
While neither Huberman nor O'Driscoll were available for comment, speaking last month Huberman (30) said that having been busy in recent months promoting her first novel, the couple were now well underway with their wedding plans.
"It was put on hold with everything else going on but we are starting to plan things now... So I've got about 10 wedding planners," she said.
