Dozens of fans lined up outside Celtic Note at Dublin's Nassau Street yesterday afternoon to catch a glimpse of internet sensation Crystal Swing.
The family trio were launching their hit single, 'He Drinks Tequila' after appearing on the Late Late Show on Friday night.
Speaking about appearing on the show, 17-year-old Dervla Burke said it was "the most amazing experience, getting to meet Ryan and getting to sing on national TV."
Dervla, her brother Derek and mother Mary Murray Burke have had almost 300,000 views of their YouTube video as well as messages on Twitter from Ellen DeGeneres and Jonathan Ross.
Their self-confessed biggest fan, student Stephen Mallon, 24, says the band have beaten his idol.
"They are the best thing since Sting, even better. They are so sophisticated, with the tiniest hint of sexual prowess from them all, including Derek. Dervla is so beautiful, like a young Britney Spears. I'm in love with her. I am going to buy four of the singles and one of the albums and make sure to get pictures with them. I sing 'He Drinks Tequila' in my sleep at this stage."
Seven-year-old Fina Doyle says she made her father take her to the launch after seeing them on TV. "I saw them on telly and asked Dad to bring me. I can sing along with them now and I like their moves," she said.
Fina's father, Danny Doyle, described the band's appeal. "They are very wholesome and very honest, and that is why they are appealing especially to kids and families," he said.
The man behind the scenes throughout the performance was the father of Derek and Dervla, Michael Burke, who kept a close eye as his children received catcalls from fans.
"I don't worry about them when it comes to the negative comments which we have seen on YouTube. They are both very mature for their age, and they know they are in the public eye."
Derek said he believed they were now as popular as X Factor duo Jedward, and said he is aware he has become a sex symbol in the gay community. "I don't mind. I love the attention whether it's the gay community or any other."
