A MASSIVE rally attended by thousands of people took place yesterday to protest at the planned closure of acute services at a hospital.


South Tipperary General Hospital, which is just
three years old, dealt with 33,000 admissions last year but is now due to be "reconfigured" by the HSE.


An action group said the move would effectively spell the end for many key services at the hospital.
