The Fabric Live series pumps out a compilation every couple of months, so there are plenty of hits, and lots of misses. Filthy Dukes' contribution falls somewhere in between. There's nothing particularly inventive about this effort, which predictably straddles indie-disco, 8-bit, electro and synthpop. 'Miss Mars' by 80kidz is a brilliant choice as is 'Messages'. But nuggets are scarce. While the mix out of 'Window Licker' into 'What You Need' by Tiga is inspired, the Zombie Nation mix doesn't work, and there's that conundrum of including a tune like 'Window Licker', therefore making everything else just pale beside it.
