An animal rights group has demanded that Phil the groundhog, famous for the Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania Groundhog Day tradition every 2 February be replaced with an animatronic groundhog instead. Tradition dictates that if Phil sees his shadow on the morning of 2 February, then winter will last another six weeks; if he doesn't, spring has sprung. But now, Peta say it's unfair to keep Phil in captivity before parading him in front of large crowds and subjecting him to bright lights.
