A CREWMAN who became ill aboard a fishing vessel 400km off the west coast was airlifted to hospital yesterday. The 61-year-old was transferred from the British-registered vessel Ben Loyal to the Spanish hospital ship Juan de la Cosa. He was then airlifted to the Mid-West Regional Hospital.


It is understood that the man is suffering from a cardiac condition.
