Finance minister Brian Lenihan has said he will not attempt to justify payment of a €1.5m top-up to the pension fund of current Bank Of Ireland chief Richie Boucher.


However, speaking on RTE radio's Marian Finucane show yesterday, he pointed out that the payment was made as part of the agreed pension scheme for Boucher.
