Members of Amnesty International handed out bottles of dirty water in Dublin, Cork and Galway yesterday to raise awareness that almost 200,000 Palestinians have no running water and survive on 'filthy' water. Eílis Ní Chaithnía of Amnesty International's 'Thirst for Justice' campaign claimed that diseases from drinking sewage-infested water are rife in Palestine because Israeli authorities restrict the water sources.
Laughable really. This organisation has lost it's way in the last ten years. Like some sort of publicity stunt. They probably got the water by turnng on the taps anywhere in Ireland. I cancelled my subsciption to this political group a few years ago. It had a purity of ideals when it was first founded. Now it's just another politically correct tea party pandering to the conscience of "pseudo liberals".
