Dublin's newest tourist attraction –the Big Wheel – opened for business at the Point Village yesterday, but not without a few hitches.
It was originally supposed to open at 10am but it was not until late in the afternoon that rides finally got underway and the weather refused to cooperate with heavy rain falling throughout the afternoon.
The ride, which offers panoramic views of Dublin city, lasts 13 minutes and costs €9.
Businessman Harry Crosbie is behind the wheel which is part of his plans to regenerate the Dublin docklands.
