The Bank of Ireland is to sell its art collection which is valued at around €5 million.


Proceeds of the sale of the approximately 2,000 art pieces will go towards the bank's community and charitable investment programme.


AIB's art collection is also under review but a spokesperson for Anglo Irish Bank said the future of the bank's art collection is a matter for the owner of the bank, the Minister for Finance.
