THE mother of Amy Fitzpatrick, the Dublin girl who vanished from her Spanish home three years ago yesterday, is moving house to stop sleeping "day and night" in her daughter's carefully preserved bedroom.

Audrey Fitzpatrick and partner David Mahon yesterday continued their sombre annual tradition of retracing the final footsteps of the teenager who disappeared while walking home from a friend's house.

Despite the passage of time, there remains a strong Spanish media and police interest in the case and the couple took part in a large press conference on Thursday to issue a fresh appeal for information.
