Around 4,000 people attended a protest in Wexford town yesterday afternoon.

The protest was organised by local groups and hospital workers over what they see as attempts to downgrade services at Wexford General Hospital. The protestors believe the HSE plans to reduce the opening hours of the 24-hour accident and emergency unit there.
