A Cork-based company which launched a clothing line featuring political slogans and commentaries on the Irish economy has seen a 300% rise in sales over the last month.
Puckout.com, which sells t- shirts stating "We are where we are" said the massive rise in sales was driven by public frustration with politicians.
"For us, the idea of selling the clothes with political slogans started off as a joke. However, the line took off internationally and our line of underwear declaring 'the IMF took my coat' has been selling in America, the UK, Germany and Belgium.
"We are finding it is how some people are venting their anger and frustration at the decisions made by the government. It has, of course, given us a great boost."
Ryan said the clothing range was a popular Christmas stocking filler, and the company plans to launch additions to the
current collection in the coming weeks.
The clothing been worn by TV3's Karen Koster live on air and has received international media attention in papers such as the New Zealand Herald and the Canadian Financial Post.
