AXED TV presenter Sean Munsanje says he has his next role already in mind – hosting RTÉ's next season of the Afternoon Show.
The former Xposé presenter was in talks with publicists last week in order to find a new role, but says he has his eye on a stint in RTÉ.
"Something like the Afternoon Show would be perfect because there are so many aspects to a show like that. There are so many different things to talk about and people to meet and that is the kind of role I would do well in. That would be amazing," he says.
It was last week announced by TV3 that Musanje's contract had come to an end and he is now set to leave the show for good.
The presenter joined the show last year after winning the reality TV show Total Xposure, following the departure of Lorraine Keane.
"The Xposé girls are shocked because they didn't know how it would turn out for me. The producer, Debbie, is also devastated. It is all a bit bittersweet right now."
Munsanje says his year with TV3 was both "stressful and rewarding" and blames budgetary issues for his sudden exit from the station.
Meanwhile, TV3 announced this week that seven Irish
journalists will take over the Tonight With Vincent Browne show for the summer break.
Sarah Carey, Kevin Myers, Sam Smyth, Eoghan Harris, Claire Byrne, Ivan Yates and Ger Colleran will each present the programme for a week.
