It was very distressing watching RTé's Aftershock: Ghost Land. The unfinished and unoccupied houses showed us the modern-day Armageddon that Ireland has become. I only hope that future generations will have learned from the stupidity of our infatuation with the great evil of the capitalist system which is rapidly destroying our lives. The global economic situation makes it obvious that both sovereign state governments and banks cannot be trusted to give people a solid and stable economy.
