New Jersey estate agent turns in fellow fraudsters


A mammoth corruption investigation paid off in New Jersey on Friday with 44 arrests, among them three mayors, two assemblymen and five rabbis. After recruiting an estate agent to wear a wire, the FBI uncovered corrupt mayors taking cash for zoning, money-laundering operations at synagogues, and a trafficker in human kidneys. The wire-wearer Solomon Dwek cooperated with police in order to avoid jail for a 2006 case in which he was charged with defrauding a bank of $26m.


Bonnie and Clyde prove yet again that love is blind


A blind dog in Norfolk has been given a new lease of life after getting his own guide dog. Clyde, a five-year-old border collie, is guided by Bonnie and refuses to go anywhere without her. The pair were rescued as strays earlier this month and are now looking for a home.


Cheeky monkey goes to pot for thieving owner


A monkey is the prime suspect in a robbery that took place in Texas last week. The Plants and Planters shop in Richardson was burgled when a monkey broke in and stole several flower pots, passing them over a fence to its owner.

Chinese couple Li Wenhua and Yan Hongxia who shunned traditional wedding attire last week and instead got married while covered in bees.
